Trustees

Building on our much respected car driving service from 1997, we now support independence in older people more extensively, offering  one to one befriending, three cafés each week, home handyperson and gardening services, all organised by our part time team time of eleven staff, now serving nearly 1,000 beneficiaries in the local community with the help of over 130 volunteers.

Our work has been recognised through the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service and we are a Strategic Partner with Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council. We also receive support from Hampshire County Council.

We would like more trustees to join our current enthusiastic board with experience in marketing and social media, project management, HR and governance, coordination of volunteers and supporters. Ideally we need people who can work on issues between trustee meetings that are held during the day every 6-8 weeks.  An ideal candidate would be someone who knows how charities operate and has some knowledge of adult social issues but much of this can be gained by involvement in the operation of NeighbourCare.
