How would you like to become part of our fabulous team of befriending volunteers, who either telephone or visit residents in the Basingstoke and Deane area?
In the past six months we have made a total of 725 befriending contacts. These were made up of 364 telephone calls and 361 visits.
We are looking for others to join our friendly team of volunteer Befrienders.
As a Befriender you will be helping to improve the quality of life for those who find themselves socially isolated within their homes. Our Befriending Coordinator will match and introduce you to the person who you will visit on a weekly bases for an hour at a time that suits you and the person who you will be befriending.
This is a very rewarding role that brings friendship, company and a chance to chat to a friendly person
