Sewing Volunteer

Hart Volunteer Centre is looking for volunteers who may have an interest in sewing or crafting with fabric and would be happy to get involved with a new project at the Hart Eco Hub in the Hart Shopping Centre, Fleet. 

To reduce waste and to support the environment, the scheme's aim is to create useful items that can be upcycled from donated fabrics and other materials. The initial aim is to produce draught-excluders and tote bags. If you have a morning a month to spare and would like to join a like-minded bunch of 'crafters' then this might be the role for you.

Items produced by volunteers will be offered to vulnerable households and others in exchange for a donation. Funds raised will go towards the project and the running costs of the Hart Eco Hub.

Skills

• Experience in sewing is beneficial but not essential. 
• Understanding how to use a sewing machine would be an added bonus but not a requirement.
• Willingness to get involved in a group setting.
