Hart Volunteer Centre are looking for donation sorters for an ongoing recycling programme that is run through the Eco Hub, located at the Hart Shopping Centre in Fleet.
Through 'portholes' on the ground floor of the Hart Shopping Centre, Hart Voluntary Action collects items that can be sent for recycling to reduce the amount of waste being sent to refuse and to raise funds for their charity. The waste 'streams' change from time to time but they are currently collecting (empty) branded ink cartridges and Pringles cans (with metal bottoms).
Due to the volume of the items collected the Hart Eco Hub is looking for help with sorting and boxing the items, ready for sending off to the organisations that collate the items and recycle them accordingly. If you have a morning a month to spare and would like to join a like-minded bunch of 'Wombles' then this might be the role for you.
Skills
- Willingness to get stuck in and 'get your hands dirty' (gloves will be provided)
- Eye for detail to ensure correct sorting
- Happy to focus on one continuous task

Availability Details
The regularity of sessions will be determined by the volume of recycling collected and may be adjusted accordingly. Initially, groups will be running once a month on the first Tuesday of the month. A detailed timetable will be shared with interested volunteers.
