Receptionist / Administrator Assistant - The Link

We need to cover the hours of 9am to 3pm on a Friday. This could be carried out by two people one doing a morning shift and the other doing the afternoon, or someone who would like to do the full day.

Responsibilities are:

• Provide front-of-house reception cover at The Link, welcoming visitors and creating a friendly, professional first impression.

• Handle incoming phone calls, responding to enquiries and directing calls as appropriate.

• Conduct tours of the building for prospective users, highlighting facilities and services.

• Support day-to-day administrative tasks, including managing bookings and contacting centre users.

• Carry out general office duties such as photocopying, laminating, and maintaining up-to-date literature and displays throughout the centre.

Skills

• Good communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone

• Friendly and approachable manner with excellent customer service skills

• Good organisational skills 

• Basic administrative and IT skills (e.g. bookings systems, email, Microsoft Office)

• Attention to detail, particularly when handling bookings and updating information

• Ability to work independently and use initiative

• Confidence in showing people around and representing the centre positively
