Food Bank Volunteers

Hart Foodbank, part of the Trussell Trust nationwide network of foodbanks, is a busy foodbank with a friendly team of volunteers. We have centres in Darby Green, Fleet, Hook and Odiham. We provide three days of emergency food to those in crisis such as those experiencing benefit delay, redundancy, illness, debt, domestic violence or family breakdown. We are able to provide not just much-needed short-term relief, but also to signpost people to organisations who can help solve their longer term problem. The issue of food is based on a system of vouchers issued by front-line care professionals such as GP Surgeries, Support Workers, Citizens Advice, Housing Officers and Social Services.

Our Hook Centre is currently looking for volunteers to help with front of house as well as  helping to pack food parcels for clients.

We are looking for volunteers to help at sessions at the following times:

• Fleet: Mondays 13:15-15:15 and Thursdays 10:45-12:45
• Hook: Mondays 11:15-13:15 and Thursdays 10:15-12:15
• Darby Green: Mondays and Thursdays 13:15-15:15

We do not open on Bank Holidays.
