Fleet Hospital and Community Friends Volunteers

Fleet Hospital and Community Friends exists to improve the care and comforts of the patients, above those which are funded and provided by the N.H.S.  The Friends also increase the profile of Fleet Hospital through their membership and connections with local groups and business.

The charity is currently seeking new volunteers in a variety of roles - we are looking to increase the membership of the charity, recruit new committee members, and replace the retiring secretary. The membership role is to ensure the activities of the charity are promoted to the local residents.

The committee:

• feeds back on support needed within the locality
• makes decisions on applications made for funding
• provides current and and past experience to support the charity
• monitors health changes within the Fleet area
• makes decisions on funding appropriate to the charities objective
• raises funds for good causes.

Volunteering with the Friends means you will be assisting the local community by helping to fill gaps in provision and responding to applications for support.  You will be supporting a hospital that for 130 years has provided medical and health care locally. Built by the local people and supported by the Friends for the last 56 years.
