We’re seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Chair of the Board of Trustees to guide us through this exciting period and help shape the future of advice services in Hart District.
As Chair, you will lead the Board of Trustees, ensuring strong governance, strategic oversight, and a clear vision for the future. You’ll work closely with the CEO and fellow trustees to ensure Citizens Advice Hart remains responsive, inclusive, and impactful.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the Trustee Board, ensuring effective decision-making and governance.
- Plan and chair Board meetings, working with the Company Secretary and CEO to set strategic agendas.
- Ensure the Board has the right mix of skills, experience, and diversity.
- Support and appraise the CEO, enhancing collaboration and accountability.
- Represent Citizens Advice Hart at public events, in the community, and with funders.
- Oversee financial health in partnership with the Treasurer.
- Champion the voices of the communities we serve, ensuring their needs shape our services.

Availability Details
This is a voluntary role, with Board meetings held eight times a year, typically in the late afternoon or evening in Fleet. The role requires approximately 1-2 days per month for additional responsibilities.
