You will be facilitating a weekly or bi-weekly peer support group for people who are, or have been, struggling with bereavement and who wish to spend time with others in a similar position.
You will ensure a warm welcome for newcomers, introducing them to members and being available to talk quietly with them if appropriate.
Skills
Volunteers should:
- Have experience of bereavement
- Be comfortable talking about death and its consequences
- Have an appropriate sense of humour
- Be a team player
- Be willing to undertake training
