Volunteer Activities Coordinator

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Outreach Activities Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting Hammersley Homes’ mission to improve the lives of adults living with enduring mental health challenges. This role focuses on planning, coordinating, and delivering a range of social activities to promote the well-being, independence, and social inclusion of our clients.

Key responsibilities include organising group activities throughout the year, to provide opportunities for our Outreach Members to connect and engage with the wider community. The Activities Coordinator will work closely with Outreach team to ensure that all activities are tailored to meet clients' individual needs.

This position requires excellent organisational and communication skills, as well as a passion for supporting vulnerable individuals. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning and delivering activities, an understanding of mental health challenges, and a commitment to creating a positive impact in the community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To assist the Hammersley Homes Outreach Programme Team with organising and coordinating all aspects of planned activities by:

• Working proactively with the team to come up with new and regular activities for our members to take part in and enjoy.

• Contacting potential suppliers and companies who can assist with the delivery of the activities.

• Suggesting ways of how we promote the activities with our members.

• Ensuring policies and procedures are being followed in relation to insurance and health and safety requirements, both prior and on the day of the activities.

• Acting as key contact on the day (where necessary).

• Collating feedback from members who attended to gauge the impact of the activities.
