Trustees meet three times a year at an evening meeting to award educational grants to applicants with a Basingstoke connection. Typically grants of £200-£300 for school trips. Applications are usually received via the school in respect of families in need. The trust has an annual income around £4,000 a year and funds of around £80,000.
Trustees will review the applications and decide whether or not to approve and how much to award. We have recently been agreeing applications in full even if this means spending in excess of income.
