Squirrel Scout volunteers - running activities with our 4-6 year olds

8th Farnborough Scout group in Mychett are looking to open a new Squirrel group for 4-6 year olds in the community and are looking for Squirrel volunteers to join their team. 

What the volunteer role involves. We’re looking for someone who can help with tasks such as:

• Planning a termly programme of activities (with support from the wider team).

• Leading and supporting the young people with their activities which vary from a bug hunt to a science experiment and playing lots of games

• Organising the parent/adult rota for weekly support.

• Recording activities and progress towards badge requirements.

These responsibilities can be taken on by one person or shared across the team.

The group will meet on Tuesday evenings approx 5-6pm

Skills

You don’t need previous Scouting experience,  just someone who enjoys helping young people thrive. Training and support will be given including a DBS check.
