We have 12 Hospice charity shops in and around the local area and are in desperate need for reliable and conscientious volunteers during the week and weekends.
Main duties include sorting donated goods, serving customers, using cash register, as well as possible use of computer for gift aid (if computer literate).
Other aspects to the role could be: creating interesting displays to encourage all ages to come in and browse or buy, use knowledge/experience of collectables and/or assist with window dressings.
We have shifts in our following stores: Alton, Brighton Hill, Kempshott, Overton, South Ham, Tadley, Town Centre Wote Street, Furniture Store
Skills
The ideal person is someone who is friendly, enjoys interacting with people and who is physically fit and able - there are a lot of donated items to sort and prepare for the shop displays.
Excellent communication skills
Willing to meet and engage in conversation with customers
Enthusiasm & ability to work within a team
Experience of operating a cash register or a desire to learn
