Pamber Heath Scout Group Lead Volunteer/Manager

Are you highly organised and have people management skills? Pamber Heath Scouts group are looking for a Group Lead volunteer to join the team.

The role will involve;

  • Holding regular check-ins and reviews for volunteers
  • Hosting leaders’ meetings (approx. 4 a year)
  • Making sure that every section (Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs & Scouts) is running a fun and exciting programme
  • Working with the trustee committee to make sure the Scout Group is run well and is sustainable
  • Ensuring the leaders have everything they need to successfully do their role
  • Attending the AGM and Trustee meetings (approx. 4 meetings a year)
  • Recruitment & Induction of new volunteers

Availability: the hours and days of the role will vary but an average amount of hours per month would be 6-8 hours

Access to your own car/transport and a PC or laptop is required.

Out-of-pocket expenses will be re-imbursed.

Scouting experience is not necessary for the role as full training will be given however we would be interested in applications from people who have left Scouting and want to return.

All the roles will ensure that great Scouting happens for the Young people of the Scout Group and may involve enabling change where necessary.

The role would be ideal for a group of people (or one person) who can’t commit to a weekly event but want to be involved in the Scout Group.
