Keyboard Player to Accompany Pantomime Production

Keyboard player to accompany the actors in pantomime.  Playing music prior to show and approximately 4 songs during the show.  Plus music to accompany the actors walkdown.  The Keyboard is integral to the show, there is a musical director already to choose the music with you.  The actors appreciate having live music and soon you will have a lot of new friends, a great opportunity to play in public without the hassle of organising venue and also being such a huge part of a successful show.  If you have never played for pantomime before this is a great opportunity. You will be needed between October and January for the rehearsals and show.

Skills

It is necessary to be able to play keyboard and adjust to singers needs. All songs are short but there is a commitment required to attend quite a few rehearsals and get to know the performers well.  Music is chosen with the musical director and being able to read music would be beneficial but playing by ear is not a problem.

The musical director will guide the singers and player.  The group members will provide all training in how the show works!  We do have a recently acquired keyboard, a Technics and there is someone who can assist with setting it up and explaining how it works, but you may bring your own keyboard.
