Group Lead Volunteer (Manager) 11th Basingstoke Scouts

Central to everything we do, Lead Volunteers are our inspirational facilitators, supporting our teams in making sure everything at Scouts is fun, safe and inclusive.

Are you highly organised and have people management skills? 11th Basingstoke Scouts is looking for a Group Lead volunteer to join the team.

The role will involve;

• Holding regular check-ins and reviews for volunteers

• Hosting leaders’ meetings (approx. 4 times a year)

• Making sure that every section (Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs & Scouts) is running a fun and exciting programme

• Working with the trustee committee to make sure the Scout Group is run well and is sustainable

• Ensuring the leaders have everything they need to successfully do their role

• Attending the AGM and Trustee meetings (approx. 4 meetings a year)

• Recruitment & Induction of new volunteers

This role can be done flexibly around your availability.

Skills

Good communication and planning skills. Training will be given and you don’t need previous

experience in Scouting.
