Gardener

Do you enjoy gardening and want to make a meaningful difference in someone’s day?

We’re looking for a friendly Volunteer Gardener to support a small group of residents in maintaining and developing their garden. We already have a professional gardener who visits every three weeks for grass and hedge maintenance, but we’d love someone who can bring life to the flower beds, vegetable patch, and borders — with the help of residents who are interested in getting involved.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Helping residents plant flowers, herbs, and vegetables
  • Supporting with light gardening tasks like weeding, watering, and deadheading
  • Giving basic gardening tips to encourage residents’ confidence and independence
  • Suggesting small seasonal jobs like seed sowing or mulching
  • Assisting with small DIY gardening tasks (e.g., fixing plant supports)

Time Commitment:

  • Just an hour or so once a week
  • Flexible to suit your schedule Interested? We’d love to hear from you!
