Fleet Half Marathon Race Route Marshal

Fleet Half Marathon is on Sunday 29th March and volunteers are a really important part of race day!

The 2026 race will be the 45th year of running around Fleet since the very first Fleet Half Marathon in 1982. Fleet & Crookham AC is very proud that the race continues after so many years and you can help us to continue to put on this great event.

You will be located at a specific point on the race route and the main tasks performed by Marshals are guiding, interacting and encouraging the participants around the course. Your claps and cheers of encouragement really do make a difference. You also provide protection to the runners by locking down any access to the race route from side roads.

You are part of a wonderful team of about 110 marshals - without you the race simply could not happen. Our runners always complement our amazing volunteer marshals.

Skills

No previous experience is required but of course if you have done a similar role at other events e.g. parkrun - you are already half way there.

Each marshal point on the route has a specific support information pack so you know exactly what is expected from you at that point.
