We're on the lookout for volunteers to join our enthusiastic committee to help organise the annual carnival which, this year, takes place on Saturday 5th July 2025.
Anyone is welcome to join the committee. Whether during the year you help organise and manage an event, or you turn up on the day to help out, WE NEED YOU!
A specific role we are looking to fill is Procession Manager, promoting the entry of the procession, gathering all the entries and required documentation, creating the order of the day and managing the procession entries on carnival day (with lots of help of course!)
On the day, we will need help setting up Calthorpe Park, managing stall traffic, traffic marshals, procession walkers, litter pickers etc.
Helping out on the day starts from 9:00am until approx 5:00pm, but any time anyone can offer we appreciate.
It is a great fun day which the whole of the community enjoy. It’s great seeing it all come together and very satisfying!

No skills or qualifications required, just need to be reliable and enthusiastic and ready to have some fun with a fantastic team!

Availability Details
The carnival is on Saturday 5th July. We meet the second Monday of the month at 7pm to organise carnival in the Lismoyne Hotel (the March meeting is virtual). Meeting dates are 10th March, 14th April, 12th May, 9th June and a a final one on 23rd June.
