Event Volunteer for Summer Festival - Saturday 11th July

Hatch Warren Community Centre are organising our annual summer festival on Saturday 11th July and are looking for volunteers to help ensure that the day is a great success. In 2025 3000+ people attended the event. This year's festival promises to be bigger than ever, with exciting attractions including aerial fitness displays, chair-o-planes, a bungee experience for younger children, Greek Gyros catering, and the return of the popular Berkshire Birds of Prey display.

With more activities on the field than ever before, we need plenty of helping hands to ensure everything runs smoothly and safely.

As a thank you for your support, volunteers will be provided with refreshments during their shift.

We are looking for help with the following:

• Set up Crew 8am - 11am - help prepare the outdoor playing field space by setting up tables and chairs and gazebos with bunting. Set up the bar area within the lounge and prepare tables and chairs for customers. 
• Trader Welcome Team - From 10am - Welcome stallholders as they arrive and help them get settled on site.
• Kitchen & Bar Helpers Midday - 2pm & 2pm - 4pm  - Assist with serving refreshments from the licensed bar
• Carpark Marshals - Midday - 2pm & 2pm - 4pm - Ensure that traffic is flowing safely in the carpark and directing cars to the correct parking bay.
• Pack down crew - 3.45 - 6pm Once the Summer Festival has finished, help us return the centre to its usual layout, ready for preschool the following day. This will involve returning all tables and chairs back inside, packing away the licensed bar and refreshment zone and ensuring all gazebos are stored safely. 

Skills

No specific skills required but an enjoyment of speaking to people and generally helping out as required would be very beneficial.
