Event support volunteer

As RAF Odiham celebrates their 100th year, we are attending lots of events in the local area and are looking for volunteers to help us raise as much awareness as possible for our charity’s services. The RAF Benevolent Fund provides a range of emotional, social and financial support to those who serve, have served and their families, such as a listening and counselling service, veteran community groups and grants and loans in hard times. The upcoming events are an amazing outreach opportunity for us. We want to make sure that anyone in your local area who needs our help knows how to find us, and to help us raise the essential funds we need to be able to provide our services. Our volunteers are essential in our being able to reach as many people as possible!

You could find yourself helping at a charity stand, raising awareness of our charity’s services to support the RAF Family, joining a cheer squad for a running event to support the runners fundraising for us, or supporting with events arranged specifically for serving personnel. You’ll be part of a passionate team of staff and fellow volunteers. Sign up yourself or with your friends, family or colleagues - the more the merrier!

Skills

We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about the difference we make in supporting the serving and former personnel and their families. Our volunteers are reliable,  trustworthy and comfortable engaging with the public on our behalf.

Once registered as an event volunteer, we will provide you with a volunteer handbook and the team will keep you in the loop about upcoming events and you can sign up to as many as suits you. Before each event, the team will send an email detailing what to expect from the day, when and where to meet and what to bring with you to help you feel ready to help out!
