This is a flexible opportunity for anyone in the Yateley area to provide an important and rewarding service to the local community. If you enjoy meeting people, we'd love to hear from you. We are always looking for people willing to give their time to transport the elderly and disabled to a range of medical appointments (e.g. Yateley Medical Centre, Monteagle and Hartley Corner surgeries, visits to hospitals such as Frimley, Park, Aldershot Centre for Health and Farnham, plus dentists and chiropodists) and return them home afterwards. These are generally in the town and local area, but can occasionally be further afield.

You do not have to travel to areas you are not familiar with and we only ask you to volunteer as and when you are available. You need to have a clean driving licence and your own car, which must be taxed, insured and have a valid MOT certificate. You will need to inform your motor insurance company that you are volunteering - most insurance companies do not impose a financial penalty for this.

You will be reimbursed for your mileage at the current HMRC rate of 45p per mile.

A DBS check is required for this opportunity.
