Community School Governor

We are looking for dedicated people to join our school board of governors

At Cherrywood we have a great team of Governors who work closely with and support the professionals in the school to help make a positive impact on the lives of our pupils. We are expanding that team.

A school governor ensures that:

· the vision, ethos and strategic direction of the school are clearly defined

· the headteacher effectively drives the educational performance of the school

· the school’s financial resources are used efficiently

To be a school governor you do not need a background in education – we value a diverse range of skills and interests.

We offer training to develop and enhance your skills, and you will be part of a supportive and pro-active team of volunteers working to deliver the best possible education for children in our community.

The role of school governor is subject to a DBS check.
