We are seeking volunteers to help with the upkeep and management of the Baker Hall in Odiham which includes the role of Bookkeeper/Treasurer. The Baker Hall is primarily used by our local Scouts, Guides, Cubs, Beavers, Squirrels and Brownies. Other users include education services, local clubs and many children’s parties. All of this takes a lot of organisation for which we need help.
The Bookkeeper/Treasurer would work closely with the Bookings Secretary who uses the Hallmaster bookings management system to manage bookings invoices and receipts. The role would involve:
- Maintaining a record on an Excel spreadsheet of all receipts and payments
- Managing the Baker Hall bank account and setting up payments (direct bank transfer) on the bank account
- Providing financial summaries to Baker Hall Management Committee quarterly
- Producing end of year accounts and managing the audit process
Skills
- Prior accountant/bookkeeper experience is desirable but not essential
- Numeracy
- IT Software Skills – use of MS Office Excel and Word and gmail for emails
