Backstage crew are important for the success of our shows. They create the backdrops and props and ensure all the set changes run smoothly. They work as a well trained team to be able to amaze the audience with the magic of each scene. A huge part of the production without the need for makeup or learning lines! The group is very friendly and there is opportunity for new friends and fun, plus being involved with a wonderful live show.
We have a schedule enabling us to be ready for dress rehearsals. Painting is in the summer on Stratton Park probably 2 days. Some get togethers for planning and practice between October and December. Dress rehearsals and show dates are in January.
Skills
No previous experience is required as the stage manager will organise the painting and props although any talents will be welcomed. If you have never done this there is no problem. All the equipment will be provided.
No training is necessary, we all muck in with the work.
