We are looking for volunteers to help with the running of our Aldershot Advice Centre. You will help set up/down the venue. You will be the first point of contact for parent/carers attending our advice centres, registering them on our online database. You will talk to parent/carers to gather key details about their visit to us, enabling you to pass them to the relevant adviser who will provide the support and guidance.
Some training will be required before the volunteer starts the role. This will be virtual via teams. The training will consist of: of systems/database, SOS!SEN approach and about our charity plus any other support the volunteer needs. There is the opportunity to progress further with other areas of training within our charity, more information can be obtained during the informal discussion stage.
Skills
We are looking for people who are able to make parent/carers feel comfortable accessing our service, you will be able to use our online database, with training and have good communication skills, being able to talk to people, listen with empathy, and ask relevant questions where necessary.

The advice centre runs on the second Tuesday of the month (closed in school holidays) 10.15 - 12.15pm
